Gary bids you a warm welcome to his traditional country pub. The 15th Century Royal Inn lies on the Tamar Trail in the beautiful Tamar Valley just over the border from Cornwall.
The Inn was once a nunnery and stands near the ancient Horsebridge, which was built over the River Tamar in 1437. The Royal Inn offers convivial surroundings with beamed ceilings and open log fires, ample parking, sheltered outdoor seating areas and beer garden.

Traditional home cooked cuisine
The restaurant is open for lunches and evening meals and offers traditional home-cooked cuisine prepared using local sourced produce. We offer lighter lunch menu as well as our regular menu Tuesday through to Sunday. We offer a Traditional Roast Lunch on Sundays.
We support our regular menu with daily specials that include fresh fish and shellfish from Plymouth, locally shot venison & pheasant.
A selection of real ales, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks are served.
If you can't see it on the menu please ask and if we can, we will.
